Admissions at O Castro British International School

"I have been working at O Castro for almost 13 years, and since January 2020 I have been responsible for Admissions. What I value most about my role is the opportunity to meet families at the beginning of their journey with the school, understand what they are looking for and offer them the personalised support and guidance they need throughout the admissions process. Over the past year, I have also been collaborating with the Marketing department, which has been a valuable opportunity to work alongside another team and contribute from a different perspective.

I am also a mother of two children, both of whom have now graduated, one four years ago and the other two years ago. This experience has given me a first-hand understanding of the different stages of education and of the questions and concerns that families may have as their children grow.

Throughout my personal and professional life, I have had the opportunity to live in several countries, including Belgium, England and Ireland, both for work and education. Although I completed my higher education in Madrid, where I was born, I have lived in Vigo since I was three years old. I feel deeply connected to Galicia, and it is here that my family and I chose to build our lives, drawn by our family roots and by the quality of life, beautiful landscapes and wonderful beaches that this part of the world offers.

Being part of O Castro is a very enriching experience. I particularly value the warmth of our community and the international atmosphere that can be felt throughout the school. Meeting families from different backgrounds and cultures and helping them as they discover O Castro is one of the most rewarding parts of my role."
