O Castro British International School PTA Mission

At O Castro British International School, our PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) plays an active role in student and school life. Made up of a forward-looking group of parents and teacher representatives, its major functions are the organising of social activities and events, assisting teachers with class projects, fundraising, and supporting the school in safeguarding students.Every OCBIS parent and faculty member is automatically part of our PTA. We depend upon parent participation to create an inclusive community and contribute to our children's wellbeing and global success.

Our collaborative and proactive PTA Committee involves volunteer parents across all ages. There are dedicated PTA Key Stage representatives who foster open communication between parents, teachers, senior OCBIS leaders, and student representatives.

All families are encouraged to take part in its social and fundraising activities. Funds raised by the OCBIS PTA have in the past funded school-based events, like the Christmas Market, and donations to designated charities, like Campaña HOPE. In the future, funds might enable the school to complete any number of projects or committees that fall short on funding.

Our PTA members support each other as we grow, with a culture of teamwork, respect and inclusion.

We share the same values as Globeducate in that we strive to BE EXCELLENT, BE SUPPORTIVE, BE A PIONEER, and BE GLOBAL.

We champion the educational principles of OCBIS to ENRICH, CHALLENGE, SHAPE, and ACHIEVE — knowing that our children are not just our future, but THE future.
