Academic results: O Castro British International School pupils excel once again this year
Excellence in British Education at O Castro
The British education system is world-renowned for its commitment to academic excellence combined with a hands-on approach to learning.
We follow the English National Curriculum, along with meeting the Spanish schooling requirements of the Galician government. This unique setup means we are able to provide a fully bilingual education from Nursery Class onwards.
Our classes are structured to allow us to ensure that each student receives the dedicated attention they need to access every part of the curriculum and maximise their academic potential.
Regular evaluations enable teachers to identify individual areas of strength and weakness and to adapt each student’s learning pathway as needed. The curriculum is carefully conceived to support, guide and educate every child, whatever their ability.
Excellence extends beyond the classroom
Educational excellence is a key element of the British system – at O Castro school we recognise this does not only mean academic achievement.
As a school we encourage young people to take an interest in the wider world, to think independently and form their own opinions, while always respecting their fellow students and teachers alike.
SEN Provision
In our school, we believe that each child is unique and individual with their own skills, abilities and strengths. Identifying and enhancing these is a task in which both the teaching team and the SEN Department work together. Our commitment is to develop the maximum potential of each student, not only from an academic perspective but also a social and emotional one.
